We’re proud of what the new Digg team has accomplished since we took over the site in August. We released an iPhone app, an iPad app (both featured by Apple), an email product called The Daily Digg, and a site redesign. We doubled our users, publishers are starting to notice “the Digg effect” once again, and most importantly, users think we’re on the right track. As we look forward to 2013, we wanted to take a moment and talk a little bit about our approach to monetization.
In F1 car racing, if you look at the obstacles on the race track, you won’t get past them. The best entrepreneurs don’t see obstacles, they see a path through them. Sometimes breaking boundaries, breaking rules, breaking people to get them to this end. That can be a very ugly person in some ways. But it is that singular drive and vision that will leads to success.
Necessity is the mother of innovation, they say. I’m using the new fridge as a temporary safe while I leave the door unlock so that we can easily move the new mattress in. No self-respecting time-sensitive house thief would look into the fridge for diamonds unless he is a glutton looking for quick bites. (Taken with Instagram)
